Free Friday - getting better all the time!

Ok so I'm not out running, or even walking around the block yet, but I am feeling so much better!

So, I started a new job this week and it is so exciting! I'm working in a LYS, and I am learning SO much. You do a thing and you think you know stuff...there is so much I don't know, but I'm figuring it out and my head is exploding with the possibilities of it all.

The shop I am working in is the beautiful Mishi Yarns in One Tree Hill, Auckland, so if you are passing by stop and say Hi and stock up on your favourite yarns (especially on a wednesday or thursday which is when I am working)

So yesterday I bought some white Zealana Willow DK, which is a merino 70% cashmere 30% blend, this yarn is stunning, the twist is luscious, and it knits up so evenly. I am trying to design"the perfect baby cardigan" for someone special, the parents are young and funky, but like the idea of bringing baby home in a hand knit, white cardigan. I'm thinking something very simple with a couple of nice details. I'll show you when I have something a little more concrete.

Below is a photo of my eldest as a 4 month old in the first sweater I ever designed, as you can see she was born in the 80s...the decade of the bright knitted sweater...I blame the Cosby show!

This weeks winner is Genevieve - lucky I know your ravatar from the Just Jussi group on Ravelry, so I have gifted Aria to you already.

Aria is a super pattern, reasonably quick and the stripes break the stocking stitch up just enough so that you don't expire from boredom, which is a very good thing, not the least of all because little girls just adore this sweater, just choose your colours to suit her style and she will wear it for ages!

I'm sticking with this format for a few more weeks, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me which pattern you would like to win (either look at my website or Ravelry).
So, go to the comments and tell me which pattern you would like - good luck!

Housekeeping:
- please include your Ravelry name or your email address (you can space it out to avoid spambots)- I will gift the pattern via Ravelry, if you do not belong to Rav I will email the .pdf to you- winner (s) are drawn sometime on Friday, this means "Friday afternoon/evening New Zealand time"- the winner (s) are chosen by random number generator (I use this one now)- you may enter even if you have won before.

That's a lot of hair for a 4 mos old! As I look at my baldy bean 6 mos old! Totally blame it on the Cosby Show! Funny! Nikau would be my choice for this week. Rav amchart theharts at windstream dot net

wow, my dream job! Though I would probably spend every paycheck on yarn. ;)

I would love to win Dolly Mixture (the vest, specifically). Adorable! Thanks for the giveaway!
